Growing out of her comfort zone into a leader
The only productivity tool I had experience with was Gmail
Everything was new to me—the processes, tools, and tasks. I was afraid that I might not be able to learn it all.
Everyone encouraged me
I was way out of my comfort zone. I had to learn a lot of new skills and supporting a member is a lot of responsibility. My managers and teammates all believed in me.
My first member forced me to face my greatest fear
I had a fear of talking on the phone. So, they gave me a member that needed the most phone support! Everyone helped me through it, and I built strong relationships with members. One still sends me gift cards at Christmas.
The culture here is so supportive
My teammates have helped me through professional and personal challenges, and always guide me in the right direction.
I was promoted to Team Captain after two years
Now I get to help new PAs overcome their fears. I can share my experience and guide them in the right direction because I’ve been there.
