You Said it Best, Prialto

By Eric Taussig | Updated: 23 Dec, 2021

Dear Prialtoans -

With just a few more days left in the year, I’d like to share a thought on what has made 2021 amazing.

And actually, they are your thoughts.

Allow me to explain.

The holidays are always a strange time for me. As the world slows down for family time, I generally feel more frenetic than ever. Yes, the individual executive emergencies stop, employee and vendor issues quiet. But there are several competing work/ family demands that pull at each other: There are year-end goals to reach. There is planning to complete. There are cards to write, gifts to (thoughtfully) buy, good wishes to avoid forgetting to make to distant friends and relatives. On top of all this, there are personal New Year's goals to clarify, and. . . there are reflections to make.

I can easily forget to slow down for a moment and reflect on what made the year great.

But this year, you all made it so easy to remember: There it was, posted on a gratitude wall Lilian created on Workplace-- a wall full of comments from many of you.

Thankful

And for what were you expressing gratitude? It was for things you had created yourselves!

  • "My team is ALWAYS supporting each other. Like today, I was back-to-back in meetings, and Karin stepped in to help Susana (our newest teammate) to set up Zoom for her new customer. When Saida was out of the office, an unusual request came, and Ana stepped in to help Susana since it was her first time backing up. Even though they are no longer within the same cohort, Nicole and Karin are helping each other with high volume requests. Despite supporting five executives, Saida always guides Ana and helps. I LOOOVEE my team, especially for that reason. It is great teamwork all the time."

  • "We are grateful for the opportunity to belong to such an amazing and supportive team. Working together has been great because we have gotten to know people and learn within Prialto and our customers. We are always included in virtual events and are encouraged to participate and take leadership roles in these meetings. The relationships that we have developed through daily collaboration make working with the customer team a meaningful experience as no matter what the situation is, we know there is someone who has our backs."

  • "I am super thankful to my team for always putting up their best in or out of work and for being supportive whenever I needed them most. Let's stay together, forever! I love you all."

  • "Thank you to my Team Leader for always believing in me and for supporting me in every way she can. I would not be where I am now if it were not for you. Thank you!"

  • "I am thankful to Prialto for giving me an opportunity to work with amazing people. Thank you, my teammates, for guiding me and appreciating my efforts."

  • "I am thankful for the opportunity to work with such an amazing team that makes Guatemala City, Manila, and Portland feel like only one group of awesome people that I can call my Prialto family and share new experiences!"

  • "I am thankful for the opportunity to be part of Prialto and for each Productivity Assistant, Team Captain, Team Leader, and Engagement Manager that I've worked with and for each one of my clients. You have given me a new way of seeing life, I am lucky to have the best clients!"

  • "I am thankful for my team captain and my teammates for the warm welcome and for guiding me with my journey here in Prialto."

  • "Thank you to my Team Captains. I don't know where the team would be without you guys."

  • "To all the past and present Productivity Assistants from my team. I know we do not always see eye-to-eye but thank you for always giving your best. All your hard work, commitment, and dedication are highly appreciated. I love all 40 of you!"

  • "To the Manila leadership team, thank you for keeping up with me, quirks and all.

  • To my boss-- thank you for hiring me even though I was late on my first interview. Thank you for always believing in me and supporting me. You are a BIG part of what I am here at Prialto. You are a true friend and leader."

  • "To my teammates, thank you for being my friends, for being there and keeping me grounded and sane. I love you and will forever be grateful for each of you. You make work and life more bearable."

In short, I’m most grateful this year for that gratitude you experienced due to the benefits you, yourselves created. This is the intrinsic joy had from relentless giving and that provides the best guarantee for success. We give to the executives we support, to our fellow teammates, to our families, and to our communities.

The joy we get from their growth shines right back at us.

This is what amplifying people is all about.

Thank you all for this amazing year that we made happen together. It is never easy, and this year served up difficulties from every direction. It wasn’t perfect. It never is. But we came together, acting with grace to grow opportunities for our customers, ourselves, and our families.

I’m wishing you all the best throughout the holidays, and I’m looking forward to celebrating together during our online gala.

Best,

Eric
